Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

At Clipi, we believe in transparency. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Clipi without an account, we collect only the minimum data necessary to process your request: the URL you submit and basic server logs (IP address, timestamp). When you sign in with Google, we store your name, email, and profile picture to provide account features like download history and API keys.

2. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management via NextAuth). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

3. File Processing & Storage

Files uploaded to our media tools (converter, compressor, etc.) are processed on our servers and automatically deleted within 30 minutes. We do not store, analyze, or share your files. The image crop tool processes files entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in, Google provides us with your basic profile information according to their privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

5. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage metrics (page views, web vitals). No personal data or cookies are used for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. If you use Clipi without an account, no personal data is retained after your session ends. Server logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Clipi after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

8. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy, you can reach us through our GitHub repository or by email at privacy@clipi.video.
